Nowadays many of the problems created by waste can be solved by reducing the amount of waste we produce. Making a new product requires a lot of energy and materials.
Diesel engines, smoke, chimneys, factory waste, deforestation, nuclear waste, and what are not destroying the human’s relationship with nature.
Today we should think about how we can protect our earth and make it green. 6R’s are the most effective options to protect, conserve and promote the natural and built environment for the benefit of the present and future generations.
6R’s means…Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Recover, Redesign, Remanufacture. Let’s know about 6R’s in detail…
Reduce:
The concept of reducing what is produced and what is consumed is essential to the best hierarchy. It is all about creating less waste.
Reducing the amount of waste we all generate is a great way to benefit the environment. we should only buy what we need, we should choose products with less packaging and should look for the item that we can re-use.
The logic behind it is simple to understand. For example- we will buy fewer things for the market like if we need only one water bottle at a time then buy one only not buy extra.
Reuse:
Reuse is the action or practice or a rule of using something again, whether for its original purpose or to fulfill a different function. Reuse is the most important part of the 6 R’s.
It looks at how you can use certain items again (ideally multiple times) before replacing them. and for this, we should ditch plastic bags and choose reusable, environmentally-friendly bags instead and refill a water bottle with water from home instead of buying a new one.
Recycle:
Recycling is the process of converting waste or old material into new or fresh material and objects. Recycling is a key component of daily useable things of modern waste reduction and is the third component.
Make sure you separate items that can be recycled, meaning they can be used for a new purpose. before you throw something away, think about whether all or part of it could be recycled.
Recover:
Recovery means any operation the principal result of which is waste serving a useful purpose by replacing other material which would otherwise have been used to fulfill a particular function, or waste being prepared.
Redesign:
Redesign plastic products to reduce customization making plastic more standardized the simple we should redesign the old material into new and create a new product.
Remanufacture:
Remanufacturing is the process of restoring durable used steel products to a new condition not only is remanufacturing an environmentally friendly process, but it also allows produces to be reused, rather than go to waste, and therefore supports a circular economy.

Reuse:
It is the action or practice of using an item, whether for its original purpose or to fulfill a different function.
It should be distinguished from recycling, which is the breaking down of used items to make raw materials for the manufacture of new products. Reuse-by taking, but not reprocessing, previously used items – helps save time, money, energy, and resources.
Recycle:
Recycling is the process of converting waste materials into new materials and objects. The recovery of energy from waste materials is often included in this concept.
The recyclability of a material depends on its ability to reacquire the properties it had in its original state. It can prevent the waste of potentially useful materials and reduce the consumption of fresh materials.
Recover:
