There were eight seasons of Showtime’s spy thriller “Homeland”. Claire Danes’ show has been praised widely throughout its run, especially in its first two years (both Golden Globe nominations for Best Drama).
It is through “Homeland” that audiences gain access to the highly complex and risky world of CIA agent Carrie Mathison, her private life, and covert operations in the Middle East, as well as all the ramifications of today’s counterterrorism.
There were 40 Emmy nominations for the show, and eight of them were awarded.
