I am a student of class ___. My Name is _________. We all know this year India celebrating “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav“. On this occasion, I would like to share my view On the Unsung Heroes of the Freedom struggle.

There are so many freedom fighters who played the most important role in India’s freedom struggle. Some of them are in the Indian independence movement and they fight to liberate India from British imperial rule.

Among them undoubtedly Mahatma Gandhi, Netaji Subash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Rani Laxmi Bai, Jawahar Lal Nehru, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, Chandra Shekhar Azad, and many more are known to everyone as they are the famous freedom fighter.

But there are some unsung heroes who played important role in India’s freedom movement.

Some of these Unsung Heroes of the Freedom Struggle are- Begum Hazrat Mahal, Matangini Hazra, Tara Rani, Aruna Asaf Ali, Birsa Munda, Peer Ali Khan, Kamla Devi, Garimella Satyanarayana, Kushal Konwar, Durga Bai Deshmukh, Tirot Sing, etc.

Durga Bai Deshmukh: Durga Bai Deshmukh known as the Iron lady of India, was deeply influenced by Mahatma Gandhi Ji. She impressed herself completely in the freedom struggle. She was the main driving force behind women in India.

Peer Ali Khan: Peer Ali Khan was an Indian revolutionary and rebel man. who participated in the independent movement. He was a bookbinder by profession and he use to secretly distribute important Leaflets, Pamphlets, and coded messages to freedom fighters. He conducted regular campaigns against the British government.

Birsa Munda: Birsa Munda was an Indian tribal freedom fighter and religious leader and folk hero who belong to the Munda tribe. His spirit of activism is remembered as a strong mark of protest again British rule in India.  He was a spearhead behind the Millenarian movement across the Bengal presidency.

Aruna Asaf Ali: Few have heard of her but when she was 33 years old, she hasted the Indian national congress flag during our Indian movement at the Gawallia Tank Maidan in Bombay 1942.

Begum Hazrat Mahal: She was a vital part of the 1857 Indian rebellion after her husband was exiled, she took charge of awards and even seized control of Lucknow during the rebellion. Later, Begum Hazrat had to retreat to Nepal, where she died.

Garimella Satyanarayana: He was an inspiration for the people of Andhra. As a writer, he used his skill to write influential poems as tongs to motivate the people of Andhra to join the movement against the British.

We must honor their sacrifice and aim to live together in harmony and peace ensuring social justice. these unsung heroes are also the reason we live in a free country.

There are many unsung heroes who devoted their lives to the nation. so it is time to pay tribute to all those heroes.
