University of West Georgia professor shoot 18-year-old girl

A former University of West Georgia professor is currently in prison on accused of fatally shooting an 18-year-old girl in broad daylight,

leaving a small community in mourning. Anna Jones passed away on Saturday night.

According to Carrollton Police Department investigators, officers were summoned to Tanner Medical Center at around 12:30 a.m. 

regarding a woman who had arrived at the hospital shot by Richard Sigman, 47, then Sigman was brought into jail.

According to police, 911 callers said that Jones, a woman, was hurt in the courthouse parking deck off Adamson Square.

Police told to Sigman that immediately leave your weapon, when police apporached sigman.

Sigman went away, toward the parking deck, and began firing into a parked car. 

The victim, Anna Jones, was hit by a bullet at that point.
