Opponents of Kristi Noem request for a special prosecutor to Investigate ethics complaints.

The candidate challenging Gov. Kristi Noem in the next general election wants

a special prosecutor to look into allegations of misconduct against her.

The Government Accountability Board did not respond to requests for comment from The Center Square,

but reports claim the group has forwarded inquiries concerning the governor's usage of the state plane to the attorney general's office.

The GAB also consented to pursue a complaint against Noem's behavior when it comes to her daughter's appraisal licence.

When entering a meeting with Noem and others at the governor's mansion to discuss the governor's daughter's certification,

Sherry Bren, the former director of South Dakota's appraiser certification programme, said she felt "intimidated."

She made this statement to the joint Government Operations and Audit Committee in December.
