After a bike accident, Amy Grant says she's "making progress every day"

Amy Grant suffered a concussion and stayed over ten minutes unconscious after a bike accident, but her team reports that she is recovering well.

On July 27, Grant fell while riding a bicycle with friends in Nashville, and was subsequently taken to the hospital.

A representative for Grant told Billboard on Sunday (Aug. 7) that Grant "is improving every day". 

She has a concussion and required a lot of downtime and peace and quiet to recover, as Vince has stated during his Ryman concerts. 

Just before to being taken by ambulance to the hospital, she was struck out for around 10 [minutes] after being thrown from her bike when it hit the pothole.

Now, she gets stronger and more aware and energised every day.

Grant's accident was discussed by the singer's husband, Vince Gill, on Saturday, August 6, during his four-night stay at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium.

To sing "When My Amy Prays" for Grant, Gill welcomed the couple's daughter Corinna to the stage. Corinna modified the chorus lyrics to say "when my mama prays."
