Addison Rae criticized for ‘blasphemous’ Christianity-themed swimsuit

The 21-year-old TikTok star posted a photo of herself on Instagram on Tuesday wearing Praying's

Holy Trinity Bikini ($100), which has the words "Father" and "Son" written on the top.

Although Rae's top half was only visible in the photo, the scandalous suit's bottom, which was made in collaboration with Adidas, says "Holy Spirit."

While the star's well-known friends gushed about the look (singer Tate McRae said, "oh my god addision"),

Many commenters expressed their disdain of the daring swim style. Photographer Mark "The Cobrasnake" Hunter called the outfit a "home run."

It's disrespectful to Jesus, therefore no. One commenter commented, "Sad what y'all do for money," and another pearl-clutcher added, "This is not okay! BLASPHEMY!”

A third person added, "Is nobody going to talk about this disrespecting religions," while a fourth person said the bikini was "so messed up."

Addison Rae's most recent swimsuit photo is courting controversy.
